I was abit sad that nobody nominated TB for yuletide this year. I’d loved to offer it (and it would probably have been my fourth request, too). I really would need a prompt to write more for my beloved fandom.

But I’m very happy with my assignment. It’s something I never wrote before and the request is right up my alley with room for interesting character exploration. I’ll do some canon review this weekend and then I’ll get to plotting and writing this thing! :D

Sailor Moon 2013?

Interesting. Apparently after all these years we will get another Sailor Moon anime next year. And it will be closer to the manga story which I find actually a little interesting. I’m not deeply into the Magical Girl stuff, but this does make me a little nostalgic. :P

Now can I get a real Tokyo Babylon anime?

Letter for my Parallels writer/creator

Dear Writer!

Thank you for writing in one of my rare fandoms. I’ll appreciate any fic you’ll come up with!

All the things I write here are, of course, optional and you can completely disregard them.

I do like all sorts of pairings: het, slash/femslash/yaoi/yuri and moresomes. Sex in stories is fine, although I’d rather not read anything that caters to hardcore kinks . I don’t like gender-stereotyping and character bashing.
If you’re not shippy, that isn’t a problem, because I love gen stories, too. I’m happy to see the characters do everything from normal day to day stuff to outrageous adventures. I tend to read stories on the more angsty side of the spectrum, but occasionally I enjoy a good dose of humour, too. I like complicated characters, ambiguous relationships and uneasy romance.

2012 is here!

Happy New Year to everyone! Hope your start into 2012 was as great as mine. ^__^

I wish there were more fandoms with pairings at [livejournal.com profile] fandom_stocking that inspired me. But my muse is a little non-compliant at the moment. I managed to finish a ficlet for a friend at least and there are one or to other things I might manage...

While thinking about what to write for my yuletide story I had two ideas where to go with it and I think I’ll write the second one down after I finished the ficlets. I’m in the mood to let Sei-chan do something gory behind Subaru’s back, although I have no idea if I can do that justice.

I had hoped to have the Saitô/Kenshin story for the Anime & Manga Fics to Go finshed by now, too. I’ll have to go back and redo part of it in order to do Saitô’s character justice. Maybe I’ll even go back and change the point of view... ^^; I'll take my time on that one until I'm satisfied.

Also my Wii has returned and I can start playing the new Zelda game. Yeah! Good start into the new year!

Tokyo Babylon

I’m thinking about ordering the new edition of Tokyo Babylon from Japan. It’s a new two volume edition and the first volume is set to be published at the beginning of January.

I've been feeling nostalgic all week and had urge to reread the manga. *sigh* And then later today I came across this review of TB at goodreads and it made me remember why I love the manga so much. :D I wish one day they’d make a real anime out of it. (The OVA is just not enough to do this justice...) That would be my dream come true!

Asian sources @ yuletide

If I look at the [livejournal.com profile] yuletide prompt list there were so many interesting things requested that I would have liked to write! Maybe I’m doing it for the NYR thing... At least one story?

All in all there was some nice fic for Asian Sources in different categories and I do think they need more love! I’m thinking of making a rec list when I’ve finally finished browsing. Who want to leave feedback for the a little underappreciated fandoms of our headrt can browse the yuletide 2011 collection on the whole or by media type. Maybe start with anime/manga and games and then work through the rest?

Have some of my recs and if you haven't yet don't forget to check out the nice Tokyo Babylon fic I recieved.

My first yuletide went great! My recipient did seem to like the fic I’ve written: So the most important mission was accomplished. :)
And also I’ve got a wonderful fic from my yuletide writer in a fandom that is (obviously) very dear to my heart:

House and Home (2625 words) by Anonymous
Fandom: Tokyo Babylon
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Characters: Sumeragi Subaru

Sometimes, Subaru's job breaks his heart. And other times everyday life does, too.

It focuses entirely on Subaru and his job as onmyouji and is just wonderful! Go check it out if you know TB at all. :D
Now that Christmas is over I can hopefully find the time to browse the collection for a bit!

yuletide was so much fun that I actually want to sit down and write next years yuletide letter right now.
