The new Trailers/footage for the Kenshin motion picture looks so damn good, that I’m getting right out impatient. Isn’t it August already????

Some nice person made a roundup post with the newest trailers. Really amazing!

Korra and Kenshin

I really love what I’ve seen of Legend of Korra so far. It’s great to have a slightly rebellious heroine for a change. Although she did have a sheltered life up until now and I like seeing how living and learning in the city will change her.

I’m glad that it feels so new and fresh. In my mind it was a great choice to set the story in the times of the new Avatar.

And old!Katara nearly broke my heart!

Also I’ve caught up on the first episode of the Rurouni Kenshin Shin Kyoto hen OVA and did really like it. (Although the character design kind of makes it seem like Saitô has gained weight. :P) Kenshin along with Tokyo Babylon was what brought me really into anime fandom so there is a fair bit of nostalgia involved.

The story is compressed and thus feels a little rushed at times and the first episode came with a fair bit of exposition for the viewers who needed it. (I'm not sure that people who haven't read the manga or seen the old anime could follow this without problems, though.)

The newest trailer for the Rurouni Kenhsin live action movie is out and someone has already made subs for it (not that it’s hard to follow what’s going on :P).

I’m glad the original cast of Seiyû will return for the new anime version, but I have to admit after the current footage I’m even more excited for the live action movie.

But more Saitô is always a good thing. So give me more! :)

Happy New Year to everyone! Hope your start into 2012 was as great as mine. ^__^

I wish there were more fandoms with pairings at [livejournal.com profile] fandom_stocking that inspired me. But my muse is a little non-compliant at the moment. I managed to finish a ficlet for a friend at least and there are one or to other things I might manage...

While thinking about what to write for my yuletide story I had two ideas where to go with it and I think I’ll write the second one down after I finished the ficlets. I’m in the mood to let Sei-chan do something gory behind Subaru’s back, although I have no idea if I can do that justice.

I had hoped to have the Saitô/Kenshin story for the Anime & Manga Fics to Go finshed by now, too. I’ll have to go back and redo part of it in order to do Saitô’s character justice. Maybe I’ll even go back and change the point of view... ^^; I'll take my time on that one until I'm satisfied.

Also my Wii has returned and I can start playing the new Zelda game. Yeah! Good start into the new year!

Kenshin FTW!

Rurōni Kenshin Movie Teaser Trailer!

Wah! Me is happy fangirl! *dance*

This looks so perfect. I’d never hoped for it to look this perfect! And there is a second of Saitō in this trailer. That’s more than enough to make me squee with utter happiness, because more Saitō in any incarnation is always a plus in my book!
I think they are going for the more realistic feel here all around and that very much works for me. I love the manga to pieces, but I loved the feel of the Tsuiokuhen OVA even more and this seems to be where they are going with the movie. If this movie is as good as this trailer seems to promise I’ll be one happy fangirl!

I’m so excited at all the new Ruroni Kenshin projects. Now a two part OVA was announced in addition to everything else and the pic here looks nice. I love the idea of the Kyoto Arc being retold from Misao’s perspective. (Actually I love the idea of the Kyoto arc being put into a new OVA period.) Bring it on! I love me more Kenshin. :)
